My approach to newborn sessions is very relaxed and natural. My focus is on the bond between you and your new baby and your family as a whole. Although I do aim to capture those precious newborn details, you can expect that the majority of the session will be capturing sweet moments of connection. My newborn sessions can take place at home or a natural light studio. I do not offer heavily posed, artificially lit studio newborn sessions with backgrounds and props. I do bring pieces from my newborn closet and minimal props like bowls and baskets.

You definitely have options outside of doing a newborn session at home. I can provide local natural light studio recommendations that are available for rent. Studio rental is a separate fee that will be added to the retainer payment. For a stress free experience I can handle making the reservation.

I recommend for newborn sessions to take place between within the first 2 weeks of life. This is the sweet spot for having a sleepy fresh baby that can be easily posed. This time frame is also before baby acne hits. Every pregnancy and delivery is different and I’m completely understanding of this. I’m happy to help you plan your session for when you are ready!

We can still plan for a newborn session and make sure we capture this special time! For babies older than a few weeks you can expect a lot more lifestyle photos since these babies are often unable to be wrapped and posed. These sessions are cozy with lots of cuddles and capturing your family together. My Newborn Prep Guide will walk you through exactly how to prepare for the session! Preparation is key for capturing babies outside of the preferred 2 week window.

As early as possible! I only take on 3-4 babies a month in order to ensure my availability. This means it’s important to reach out early to secure your birth month! For a stress free experience, I have bundles available for reserving your Maternity & Newborn together.

Yes, my newborn closet is growing! I currently do have some beautiful neutral linen and knitted pieces to choose from. I also bring neutral wraps and minimal props to your session. I’m happy to include your sentimental items and favorite outfits.
